The medicine man and the God`s chosen one

In an Arab country there was a famous doctor, who healed people with huge success. When people visited him, they said “Glory to Allah for sending us to you.” and when they were leaving they repeated “Glory to Allah for sending us to you to heal us.” That annoyed the medicine man and every time he got angry and said: “There’s no Allah here, I heal you. There’s no Allah with me here and everything depends on me.” People continued to visit him and didn’t mind his babble regarding the fact that they glorified Allah and not him, but one day the Almighty Allah of the universe decided to put him to a hard test. The doctor had a son at the age of 12, who got sick by a terrible disease that no one had known to that moment. The doctor did all kind of tests, he saw that the organs of the child were fine, but he also saw that the child was getting weaker day by day, and every moment it could leave this earth. Seeing his helplessness to save his son, the doctor turned to a man who was loved by God and through whom God saved from illness and suffering many people. He went to the one, who was chosen by God and said: “Friend Ahmed, I came to you for help, because my son has been sick for a long time, I tried everything that I know from medicine, but unfortunately I have not been able to help him. I don’t believe that such a God exists and I believe that I am the one that does everything and no one helps me in my deed, but as you all speak of Allah, God of worlds and I have heard that you are His messenger on earth, I came here to ask you and ask Allah to help me save my son, if this miracle happens I’ll bow to Allah and from this day on every morning and evening me and my family will pay Him our respect.”Ahmed smiled, hugged the doctor and said: “Let’s go, friend, to glorify Allah, Lord of the worlds.” They got to the doctor’s home, went to the boy and the God’s chosen one put his hand on the boy’s head and prayed aloud to the Almighty Allah: “My Lord, You gave suffering to this child, the son of the medicine man, who didn’t believe in You, so that today You could take away the suffering off his son and he could believe in Your greatness and glory, that You don’t give birth and aren’t born and there is no one equal to you. And from this day on, God, accept this man and his family in the list of Your believers and Your creatures blessed by You, so they’d live in peace with You and all those who worship You in heaven, on earth and in the underworld.”  As soon as Ahmed said this prayer aloud the child started to recover, got out of bed and by the end of the prayer recovered even more and asked for food and within a couple of days was completely cured. Then the doctor went to the God’s man, kneeled in front of the Almighty Allah and said: “I’d like to thank to our God – Allah for giving me proof that I don’t heal people with my knowledge, but with His, which He gave me, by His will people come to me and by His will they’re healed through me. Let Him forgive me my delusion and my pride, which had seized my thought and my life. I’d like to say to our God that from this day on I will always glorify Him and to such as you, chosen one, I’ll pay respect and honor and will reward with whatever God rewards me through the people that visit me.” My friends, no matter what your profession is, you receive your gifts and talents from God and when you rely on Him and bow to Him in the morning and evening as a sign of your respect and recognition and when you always tell Him in your thoughts what you wish to receive support and thank Him, then God will reward you with health, strength and knowledge, that will make your life happier. This is a subject for every one of us to think about.
